Shame on SEIU

Things have gotten so bad at SEIU that Avery Horton, a former SEIU union official, wrote a song blasting the union. The words go something like this:

I joined SEIU;
Didn’t know I didn’t have to.
I joined SEIU;
I didn’t know I didn’t have to.
Shame, shame, shame on SEIU.

They keep taking my dues;
They won’t give them back.
They keep taking my dues;
And they won’t give them back.
They won’t cut me break or give me any slack.

I go to the meeting;
I listen to their pitch.
I go to the meeting;
I listen to their pitch.
They never ask a question.
Ain’t that a….

I joined SEIU;
Didn’t know I didn’t have to.
I joined SEIU;
Didn’t know I didn’t have to.
Shame, shame, shame on SEIU.

They say members have rights,
Say we have a voice.
They say members have rights;
They say we have a voice.
But they call all the shots,
We ain’t gotta choice.

Staff has better pay,
Better benefits too.
Staff has better pay,
Better benefits too.
If you a member, they put the screws to you.

I joined SEIU;
I didn’t know I didn’t have to.
I joined SEIU;
I didn’t know I didn’t have to.
Shame, shame, shame on SEIU.

Leadership — they a bunch of crooks.
Leadership don’t want you seeing the books.
Can’t find the LM-2s,
No matter how hard you look.

All members are equal said the bylaws.
All members are equal say the bylaws,
But they run things like a bunch of outlaws.

They keep taking my dues,
Even when I tell them stop.
They keep taking my dues,
Even when I tell them to stop.
This is criminal;
Somebody call me a cop.

I joined SEIU;
I didn’t know I didn’t have to.
I joined SEIU;
Didn’t know I didn’t have to.
Shame, shame, shame on SEIU.
Shame, shame, shame on SEIU.
Shame, shame, shame on SEIU.
