SEIU Boss Wants to Drive Up Electricity Prices

Tom Balanoff, president of the SEIU Illinois State Council, recently spoke about how he wants to expand the use of “green” energy. The problem with “green” energy — such as solar and wind — is that it is expensive and unreliable. Maybe the use of “green” energy makes Balanoff feel better; but expanding its use will not make his union members feel any better when they have to choose between keeping their homes at a comfortable temperature and paying high utility bills. Of course, Balanoff doesn’t have to worry about high electricity bills because SEIU pays him over $200,000 a year.
