Aiding and Abetting A Bloody Communist SpyOn Mar 10, 2015 Latest updates
SEIU aided in the effort to get the US government to release Gerardo Hernandez, a communist spy who played major role in the murder of three Americans, including a decorated veteran, reports Breitbart News. The three victims were flying a mission searching for rafters fleeing Cuba when they were shot down by the Cuban military using intelligence gathered by Hernandez. Such flights had helped the US Coast Guard locate thousands of Cuban refugees.
Hernandez also participated in Cuba’s repression of Angolans in the late 1980s. During that war for oil, Cuba deployed chemical weapons, which had not been used for decades in Africa. Overall, one million Angolans died during the conflict.
Furthermore, SEIU’s “Latino Caucus Leader,” Rosie Martinez, spoke at a Workers World Party event about the importance of the Communist revolution in Cuba to US union members and workers. Martinez admitted to going to Cuba in the 1970s as part of the Venceremos Brigade and claimed that it changed her life forever.
